Our second album, 'You Are Being Lied To', had a rather long gestation period. After our debut came out, we were quietly (and understandably) dropped by Independiente Records. We retired to our rehearsal room where we had recently invested in a primitive Pro Tools set-up.

Over the next year or so, we put together an album that would be our parting statement. The process began with a series of demos. Many of the songs didn't make it to the album. Those that did were re-recorded; these early versions show us learning how to record, as much as anything.

The 'Clem Bennett' mentioned in the parentheses was our then-live sound engineer. He had a great ear and some skills that he passed on to us. He very kindly recorded a couple of tracks for us that sound much better than the stuff we cobbled together.

I'll put the tracks that didn't make it onto the album into a separate group, though they were largely recorded at the same time.
